Colonel Abrams dies aged 67

US singer Colonel Abrams has died at the age of 67.

His death was announced on Facebook by DJ Tony Herbert, who said he passed away on Thanksgiving.

The Detroit-born, New York-based singer is best known for 1985 hit ‘Trapped’.

Last year, it surfaced that he was living homeless in New York. A fundraising campaign was launched to help him obtain his diabetes medication.

No cause of death has been reported.
